Pre-Enrolment

Nithi College is determined to give you the most up-to-date information at the pre-enrolment phase, this is to assure you that the qualification you are enrolling into is the right industry qualification for you. The Pre-enrolment phase is broken down into the following 3 steps:

Step 1:

  1. Complete some research, speak to people working within the industry, understand the specific industry area you are looking at getting into.
  2. Find out want qualification best suits the need of your chosen industry position.
  3. Jump onto www.training.gov.au (The website that has all of the Australian Vocational Education qualifications information in it) and then search for what providers offer the qualification you are interested in completing… Then ask them the following (6) six questions:
  • Course entry requirements – What am I expected to know prior to enrolling into the course (what skills and knowledge do I need)?
  • Course duration – What is the duration of the course, how long will it take me to complete the course?
  • Course delivery  – How is the course delivered (is it full-time, part-time, during the day, evening or weekends, face to face on online)?
  • Course assessment – How is the course assessed and is it flexible i.e. Written test, practical observation and can I choose when or how I will get assessed?
  • Course Trainers – Who are the trainer/s, what qualifications do they hold  and how current is there industry experience?
  • Course Investment – How much does the course cost and can I pay it off or is there any funding available?

As you can see there are many questions that you should ask before enrolling into a course, but don’t get stressed, Nithi College is here to help you through your learning journey!

 

Course Enrolment

To enrol into any ‘Nationally Recognised Accredited Qualification/Course’ you will be required to complete an ‘Enrolment Form’, this form captures the information that all RTO’s (Registered Training Organisations) are required to gather for the Australian government, this information is also used to help ascertain if you have the necessary current skills and knowledge to successfully complete the course prior to completing your enrolment.

Information to help you understand why you are being asked to complete your enrolment form is:

  1. Where were you born?
  2. What is your native language?
  3. How well do you speak English?
  4. What level of schooling have you successfully completed?
  5. What experience (skills and knowledge) do you have within the industry you are about to study?

There are a few others but all of these questions are asked to help your chosen training organisation understand if you are ready and able to successfully complete your enrolled course.

Another thing you will be asked to provide is your identification (Generally photo Id i.e. Drivers licence and/or a Passport) you will also be asked to supply your USI (Unique Student Identifier Number), if you have never enrolled into a Nationally recognised course in Australia band been asked to supply your USI you will be required to get one, it is very easy to do and it doesn’t cost you anything.

Privacy Policy

Nithi College takes every student’s privacy very seriously and it is for this reason we train all of our staff (including our trainers and assessor) the importance of privacy within all student’s records.

How do we protect your information?

Before any of your information is given to anyone other person other than yourself we ask you directly if we can. This is done to help inform you and protect your information at all times. Now be aware that when enrolling into any National or Accredited course within Australia there are certain organisational obligations that we (This goes for all RTO’s) Registered Training Organisation must comply with, but rest assured before we do you will be notified and be asked to give us consent to do so prior to passing of your information on to the requestion organisation.

Course Transfers and Cancellations 

It is a requirement under the standards for all RTO’s (Registered Training Organisations) that we have a refund policy, this includes course transfers and cancellations.

All Nithi College’s courses are offered with a range of payment options to suit your specific requirements, please talk to our administration to see what best suits your current circumstances.

No matter what course completion option you choose you may at times need to either transfer/defer or even cancel your course, knowing this policy will help you understand the possible fees attached to your choice.

  • Option 1: Full refund – If cancelled/transfered more than 14 days prior to your enrolled program/course start date.
  • Option 2: 50% Refund – If cancelled/transfered less than 14 days but more than 7 days prior to your enrolled program/course start date.
  • Option 3: 0% Refund – If cancelled less than 7 days prior to your enrolled program/course start date.
  • A transfer fess of $30 is payable for option 1 and 2.

Please remember that Nithi College is not solely here for the money (we are here to help you  gain the skills and knowledge to enter your chosen career), so if there is a legitimate reason for your transfer and/or course cancellation, call us and we will see what we can do to help you through your current predicament.

 

Complaints and Appeals

You can initiate a complaint with us by any of the following avenues:

2. Email us on admin@nithi.edu.au
3. Drop into our office and complete the ‘Complaint & Appeals’ form and give it directly to our friendly admin staff.

Questions you may ask, What sorts of reasons should I submit a complaint for?
If you have an issue with any of the following, you should submit a complaint:

  • Conduct of a Trainer & Assessor
  • Conduct of any of our admin staff
  • Conduct of other students
  • Conduct of a Partner Organisation and or Trainer
  • If you disagree with or wish to dispute an assessment outcome

So how will my issue/s be addressed you asks?

  • The Director and/or Campus manager and/or Nithi administration staff will confirm receipt of your complaint within 14 days of you formal submission.
  • The complaint will then be passed on to the Director and/or Campus Manager where he or she will then begin an investigation into your issue including talking to you and all of the other related parties.
  • If the investigation is going to take more than 30 days, the complaint handler will inform you of the reason why, you will then be given a report listing out the findings as well as the suggested course of action.
  • Should you not be happy with the course of action identified, then you should make it known to the director and/or campus manager as soon as possible by any of the methods listed above and they will arrange for the matter to be reviewed by an independent 3rd party.
  • In the event that you are still unhappy and your complaint is in regarded to a certificate funded by Queensland Department of Education and Training you may contact them directly by phone on 1800 210 210 or email.

Please note, that Nithi College will always try their best to help resolve all issues related to you program and time at Nithi College.

 

Feedback (Continuous Improvement)

Nithi College knows only too well that to improve you first need to know what to improve, and this is where you come in;  we implore everyone to give us feedback whether it is deemed good or bad;  at Nithi College we understand that there is no such thing as bad feedback, it is only bad if you do nothing about it!

So each course you complete here at Nithi College, you will be asked (given the opportunity) to give us feedback, this will be done through the completion of a feedback form at the end of your course or you could be asked to complete an online form.  No matter how you are to complete the feedback, we ask that you take the time to help Nithi College continue to improves its services to our client (YOU)!

Remember you don’t have to wait to give feedback, if necessary you can speak to our friendly staff or your trainer throughout your learning journey.
